Looking thru my latest TRF catalog I see a urethane replacement kit for the 250/TR6 diff... Question is: Anyone have one of these (upper) mounts easily accessable to measure the center-to-center mount holes, the hole diameter and the center hole diameter?

Were the originals "Lotocone" mounts?

...I'm looking for a cross-over for *GASP!* Lotus Elan diff mounts. These appear to be the same configuration.

NOS originals, but thinking I'd rather mount the chunk in new urethane.
 
Can't fathom there ain't ONE of youse with a set of these on a shelf somewhere...

Hi Doc,

I had some old stock mounts nearby because I just pulled my diff this past summer. They were well-worn but not trashed.


Center bushing hole diameter: 0.625"

Center bushing length: 2.435"

Mounting hole diameter: 0.350"

Hole-to-hole, centered: 3.625"

ACK! Center mount I.D. for these is 0.778", length@ 1.750"

Center-to-center for mounting holes: 4.250"

holes accomodate 3/8" bolts.

Shawn's mounts look a lot prettier than the ones I measured.

Unlike the rubber mounts which are one piece, the urethane mounts come in three parts, two urethane bushes, and one metal center mounting piece. If the urethane bushes will work, you may want to consider fabricating the metal center piece to fit your needs.
 
Well, it appears Sir Colin felt a need for something more massive than the TR250 diff used... a bit hard to imagine, but they WERE tearing things apart with regularity (and a bit of reported violence) while testing this chassis, so I'll likely go with the NOS ones I have in-hand.

It was the pretty new parts. I was in snapshot mode and didn't white balance the camera. I do have a small seamless perpetually set up though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
