driven a bit with the shift cover off. Noisy isn't it.

All those bits going round and round.
 
Noisy, but also dangerous, from a fire standpoint. The tranny tunnel would act like a wind tunnel, and if, heaven forbid, a fire should happen in the engine bay, it would all wind up in the cockpit! I saw it happen once.

I was wondering why my shifter gets so hot. This makes sense!
 
Driving with the shifter cover off is a very HOT Trip. i did this for awhile. and in 90 degree days i would cook. i still get heat in my cockpit from holes in the floor and fire wall LOL
