had occusion to remove the key tumblers thingee from the switch on a Bugeye? I got the front light switch off no prob, but what is procedure for takeing out the LOCK BARREL?
 
Hello Jack,

most Wilmot Breeden lock barrels are held in place with a small round pin which you need to drift out. This then releases the lock barrel.

Small pin on the lock is spring loaded and allows the headlight switch part to be removed. I see no other pin anywhere. I so see a couple of moveable clip things on the back that might be the thing I am looking for. However, I can not tell which way they should be moved or even if that is the LOCK BARREL part that I am looking for?
 
One more thing that you probably know is that you must have the key in the barrel for it to come out when you depress the spring-pin.

Ho ho. And that is the reason I am replaceing it, because I do not have a key. Sigh.

I called, nice lady, gave her the two letters and the three diget number on the front of the barrel. That's all they needed, 9.95 each including shipping. And she appoligized that the mail had already gone out today. Will ship tomorrow. Now I don't need a barrel even, good stuff.
