Playing around on the internet looking at what kind of uprated bushings I can find for my TR6, I ran across graphite impregnated bushings. Suppose to last longer and the graphite is to lubricate them so they last longer and no squeaking. I put Super Pros in my TR3 and love the heck out of them. But at $600 a set for TR6 I can't justify that cost. Kinda wonder if that's because of the popularity or what. I have ha hard time believing that that material is that costly to make.

Any other suggestions or comments?

I use the graphite impregnated bushings in my MGB and Bugeye Sprite...they work well and no squeak! BPNW is a good source.

Just started today the tear down of my 69 TR6. Should have the body off in a month or so. Looking for alternatives to the Super Pro and original rubber once I start reassembling the suspension..

Don't use the cheaper poly offered by moss for the front upper A-arms, they are improperly designed and will not hold the suspension in the correct position.

Thanks for letting me know about the Moss bushings. I'm beginning to believe not to use anything "rubber" from Moss. All the grommets, tie rod and ball joint boots started cracking within a year of installing.

I installed the standard rubber bushings when I did my resto.... about a year later, I removed the rubber bushings and installed the Prothane bushings and they have made a world of difference.
