Has anyone done this?

I painted my exhaust manifold tonight with Hi-Heat paint. When I read the instructions (after I painted - of course /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif ) I read that you are supposed to cure the paint by either baking it in a non-food oven or run your engine for one hour and it is supposed to happen within 8 hours of painting. Has anyone actually done this? Does it matter? I suppose I could BBQ it?

Haha, BBQ it. Don't forget to turn it every 5 min.

Used it on my daily driver's ported manifolds, worked fine not baking it.

thanks -the only problem is that when I touch the manifold I get paint residue on my hands. Looks real nice though

RONCO rotisserie. Set it and forget it...
