I have two TR3A hardware questions

1) What are the appropriate fastners for the "under bonnet" portion of front fender beading (screws or rivets?- If screws what size?)

2) I purchased new lettering and badging but it did not come with fastners, Is there something available locally or do I need to go back to TRF?

I think I can answer number 2. If they are anything like the spitfire clips you can go up to the local hardware store and pick up some small flat clips in the screw isle normally in the small boxes on top of the bulk screws.

Perfectly adequate push-on clips for my TR3 logo trim were available at my local Ace Hardware.

My fender beads were screwed on with #4 (I think) sheet metal screws. Might be #6... not positive on the size. I also think I've heard from people hereabouts who believe in pop-rivets for the job.

I used sheet metal screws for the beading section under the bonnet. I believe that's what came out. I don't remember cutting off pop rivets. The badges are held on with push on speed nuts, similar to the pic I linked to. Should be available at a local hardware store. Just go down with the badges and some letters and see what fits. There will most likely be a couple of sizes, as I remember the studs on some of them being different then others.

Edit: When I bought my badges and lettering from TRF, they came with the speed nuts. It was all in a kit.
 
The beads next to the bonnet were originally held with small pan head sheet metal screws, probably #4 x 3/8 or so.

And just a thought, I used this style of speed nut for the emblem, as it lets you put a little more tension on the stud for less chance of rattles.
 
Thanks to all. I guess I will head down to my helpful hardware man after Turkey day. I think I will go with sheet metal screws for the beading as I am not 100% satisfied with my "professional paint job" and may want to take em back off in a couple of years and paint it myself.

But for now, I am finally nearing a drivable state and have no intention of delaying further.
