TR6 Hardtop for TR6

Does anyone know if the Factory Fit hard top can be installed with the soft top still on the car? And if so how do you do it? (I read somewhere it is possible to do, but can't remember where!)

Yes it can. There is plenty of room.

The securing angle at the rear deck and the side mounting brackets need to be unbolted as the rear two bolts and side brackets for the hardtop use the same mounts. The windscreen attachments use a different hole for the bolts that hold the front of the top down. The stock cover for the soft top can then snap onto the buttons on the hard top.

But the question is, why? We left the soft top on one winter when the car was new. After that we removed it and stored it in an open position so that it did not take on a 'set' from being folded up for months. If you have room to store it, I would remove the soft top from the car.

Thanks very much for the help
The reason I have to have them both on is that I'm driving the car from London to its new home in Dublin!
Once home, hard top off and it will stay in storage till end of summer
