Yep - looks like its just primered...paint it!
Do you need to prep the glass other than the epoxy primer? My black top although in good shape, you can see some cracking in the paint. Is that a result of Glass failure or paint failure.
If you use epoxy primer it will fill small cracks and stick like glue. In fact it can be brushed or rolled on if you do it right then sand it out as needed.
Is there a boat repair place near you that does this kind of work that you can talk to and see some in progress?
Just figured out how to pay for my lake property.I am going to restore all you guys's hardtops. Tony, your at the head of the line cause your have the deepest pockets and the longest arms.
To do it right, Vince, you should sand down to 'glass and if it has "crazing" or "checking" it will need a thin skin of new 'glass and resin. There is a paper-thin mat available for the job. Then sand to shape and blow a coat of epoxy primer, then color. It can be a LOT of work to do it properly.
