Recently purchased a factory hardtop for my BT7. Question 1. Anyone have any recommendations on cleaner/polish to use on the rear plastic window and sidecurtains. Question 2. Name and source for thin material covered by vinyl used in the area between the side curtain opening and rear window. This is part of the headliner. The material is about 1/8" thick and somewhere between hard cardboard and plastic. Question 3. Source for relacement headliner mater1al. Question 4. Source for the weatherstiping to seal the sidecurtains. Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob,
Bill has quite a bit of hardtop parts & knowledge. Try contacting him. If he doesn't have what you need, he can point you to a source.

Regarding the clear plastic windows. I believe they are made of acrylic (Perspex to the Brits), which can be polished with a number of compounds, depending on how scratched up they are. We sometimes use jeweler’s rouge with a soft buffing wheel for removing very fine scratches and burnish marks on acrylic parts. While you may get acceptable results, in my experience, no amount of polishing will ever get the plastic to be as clear as it was when factory new. Maybe there is a vendor that makes replacement windows for hardtops?

I got my new rear glass (perspex/plexiglass) from Bill Bolton as recommended above. It looks very good.
