Harbor Freight/Tractor Supply

I know we all use Harbor Freight and their prices are good, but I was looking for a 20 gal parts washer and some blast media and found that Tractor Supply has the same 20 gal washer for the same price ($99) before discount and their blast media is cheaper. I've use TS for nuts and bolts and other small items, but never thought of them as price competitive with HF.

Hey and a good source for those Sockets to fit Crank Pulley and that big nut on the Rear Axle . Got a TS along with a Rural King which is a TS on Steroids < 4 miles away. And 10 miles to HF. But even better MG Automotive, yes a LBC Only shop is in Kettering, OH 4 miles from my house. Steve Miller. MOSS and VB Dealer who is great source of knowledge and problem solver when I get stumped.

You're lucky to have an MG expert so close to you. The nearest ones to me at a 1.5 hour ferry ride and 100 miles away - each way .

Good news on Tractor Supply; they just opened a store on a mainland town close to where our ferry comes in.

I would be more sympathetic if your reply didn't have the word "ferry" in it. I realize there are pros and cons to living anywhere, but, on the balance an island has got to be pretty great. Besides you won't be exaggerating when you say you will buy that part "when your ship comes in."

Tractor Supply can be competitive here also, though we don't have Harbor Freight. Unfortunately, there are none close - though we do have Princess Auto (Like HF) and Canadian Tire (Like heaven) close by.

LOL, John-Peter. This is a working fishing island, not the stuff of tropical lore. I have posted photos on my website, www.landroverwriter.com, of the island. It is a wonderful place to live and work. I've been here for 21 years now and still enjoy it tremendously. And we don't have a mayoral form of government which reduces public embarrassments.

Canadian Land Rover enthusiasts speak highly of Canadian Tire!
