Jatoba is a Brazilian Cherry.
Your photos the wood looks dark,so I thought it was that.

The wood I am planning on using is about 57% harder than the oak and was curious if the HF nailer can handle that wood.

If it's harder than this white oak, then it must be like concrete because this white oak has worn out one of my saw blades already! But I would think the HF nailer could handle it. Here is a better picture of the wood I am using. This is my living room I did a few months ago.

The hardness standard (Janka Scale) for White oak is 1360

Brazilian Cherry is 2350. So it is very hard.

This is my living room I did a few months ago.

Man that looks great. A nice piece of horse hair pottery would go perfect in that room. ( That's what happens when you marry a potter. You can't look at a room w/o thinking what pieces will go where.) Is that some in the lower right hand corner?

What's that above the TV? Is that a map or some sort of Indian art?

Beautiful work!I wish that I could do that.
When we pulled back the carpet on our (built around-
1960)hose,found out that there was hardwood underneath.
Possibly "Oldgrowth" Redwood.

Well I learned something new! As for me coming to do yours - FAT CHANCE! Tonight I;m lying in bed in a hotel in an undisclosed location after a weekend home working on the floor and there is not a muscle in my body that isn't aching!
