Hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and are able to enjoy family and friends.

As happens every year, the President pardons a pair of turkeys. I thought one had to commit a crime to be pardoned. What crime did the turkeys commit?

The darn turkeys saw the food on the Thanksgiving table, and gobbled up too much.

That last picture looks like she won the wishbone pull!

Today got me thinking about a holiday event we went to last
Saturday in Clifton Forge,VA.While walking to the on the sidewalk to it,
we passed a building with a line of people backed out of the door,& onto
the sidewalk. There were cars parked for at least a block in both directions.
I finally realized that this was a food bank,& that these people were there
to get food,& other items.
Sometimes we forget that there are those who can't afford basic
things,or may have had their lives turned upside-down by a sudden turn of
events,such as loosing a job,etc.
I wish that those people that stop & give money to the panhandlers
who hang out along the main roads, would sto handing them money,& give
it to the food banks, shelters, etc. At least you know that the money isn't being
spent on drugs &/or alcohol that way.
