I’ve had too many Thanksgivings in RI. Last year my immediate family and I decided to change things up and come to Captiva Island in Florida. We had so much fun that we are back again this year.
Doing the the turkey trot on the beach this morning, then we will get together and cook the turkey dinner, watch football and probably go to the pool or beach too.
As as long as I’m still around I plan to do it every year. Happy thanksgiving!
Oh and Tom, for the previous almost 30 years I spent the day in your town.
55 years ago today I was in high school in Gaithersburg MD. when we got the terrible news.
Same here. Paschal HS, Fort Worth TX. Principal put the radio and tv audio into the classroom PA systems. We listened in total silence, and the world began three very sad days.

Jesus this went dark in a hurry. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We can all remember sad times. It's a happy Thanksgiving thread.
I agree and I apologize for the posting, it was out of place. On a positive note, I butterflied and flattened a turkey breast, rolled in a sausage herb dressing and roasted. Turned out great, don't think I will be making whole turkeys in the future.
It’s been very happy for me. Down here for a week with my kids and grandkids. View attachment 56346
Doc we will be hitting the Mucky Duck and the Bubble Room too.
 Cozy little group! We had more like twenty-five or so attendees at our fete. Ages ranged from 86 to 5. Four generations.
Made the run down to Stuart and back, got well stuffed in between. Six-plus hours on the road with a great break in the middle. Family and friends, kids in the pool, a fire in the back yard after the feast. All good!
Hope all had a grand Turkey Day and expressed appreciation for the things that make living worthwhile!
