In defense of all
those Irish Jews out there
let us toast with Green Manischewitz Wine
and maybe some Green Knish's

I turned <span style="color: #33CC00">green</span> when I tried some <span style="font-style: italic">Gefilte Fish</span> once.

From us Irish Arabs, L'chaim!

Yeah, he had me right up to "green knish".

There are actually a lot of Irish Jews. Their history goes back in Ireland almost 1000 years.

One of the leading rabbis in Rhode Island was from Dublin: Rabbi Theodore Lewis. Apparently he had quite a brogue. Died last year in his 90s.

When my Catholic father lived in Dublin as a young man (where he was a unionized bartender, by the way), he used to belong to a boxing club that was run by the local synagogue.

His best friend at the time was a young Irishman named Harmon Levy.

Sláinte!

Here in WA. some schools are changing the name to All green Day :madder:

They must have been cops..... "Irish Jews in the name of the law"

Sorry, I'll get me coat.

Steve, I love ya.

I guess I could be Irish, sorta. My ancestors (the Phoenicians) traded with Ireland in the wee (see, Irish talk) years of civilization. Surely they left some of their DNA there, and brought some Irish back.
