TR2/3/3A Happy dispatch day to the both of us

Not usually a big deal on the dispatch day of a car but two years ago I ordered the build certificate for my TR3A to find the actual color of the car. Much to my surprise as I was reading the certificate was the dispatch day. February 19th. What is so special about that date? Well 4 years before on that same day my mom despatched me into this world. I have 4 Triumphs and I've got to say the 3 is the one I long to drive and miss driving the most. (going through it's 2nd restoration) It's my first TR and the car I learned on. We are now in-separately united!

Got All 4,
It looks like there is a misprint on your build certificate. It shows the commission number as TS7708L if I read it correctly. I am guessing there is a digit missing.

Dispatch day eh? My dispatch day also! Hope you had a happy dispatch day Bro!

I agree with Charley above. I bought my 1958 TR3A brand new in May 1958 (TRusty was born on February 14th - St. Valentines Day) and my TS number is TS 27489 LO. My engine number is 27789E.

Look on your Comm. No. Plate to see if the number stamped on the plate reads as your Heritage Certificate. If the certificate is wrong, write them and tell them they made an error. Usually the engine number is about 300 or 400 higher that the Comm. No.

I would guess that your TS car no. should lie about TS 65708 plus or minus.

Thanks for pointing that out. Didn't notice it that there is a 6 missing. Love all in info on the certificate. Went on line and punched in the ship that brought it over and tried to find a manifest with no luck. Was hoping to find a pic of it on board.
