mehheh... Thanks to all. Day after was not too bad! It's *possible* I've learnt moderation... tho I doubt it: Just "paced meself" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif

The Day itself was a bit odd: Supposed to go to friends' house and celebrate but an "incident" Thursday precluded our leaving the hovel unattended. Serendip was the order of the day: friends who didn't know it was my BD were showing up just to stop by and natter... then at about 1900 hrs. the phone rang and a friend from "the War" who lives in California (also had no clue it was my BD) called and we had a nice chat. We've only recently found one-another again after 30 years... Very casual and entertaining day. 'twas my 56th, so I'm ~younger~ than Jeff (tho hardly significantly)!
