Hanging gas pedal in BE

Wow, markberry. I have a rolling chassis that I've housed for over twenty years that is probably better than what you started with, that I figured was destined for the bone pile. Goes to show you, never junk anything; some genius is standing in the wings who's crazier than you are. It's beautiful! What a pay off that will be for you. You're a skilled, patient man.

I too just had to do this. I drilled the hole, then fed the bolt in from the engine side towards the interior, as to have the nut on the inside making it easier to start and tighten. I was having trouble feeding the bolt into the hole, but ended up sticking the bolt into a socket (no ratchet, just socket) and that extra length helped feed the bolt into the hole, went rather smoothly.

thanks! I started this whole thing assuming that it was just the rockers and the driver's floor pan that needed to be replaced. Then rather than stop and strip the whole car to properly assess the damage, I continued to order parts and install them as I went along. I wouldn't suggest this approach to anyone else considering restoring a questionable(at best)car . It's been a fun four years though and I've learned alot that I can apply towards my next restoration attempt. having said that, I hope my wife doesn't secretly read my posts
