I have no problem with the instructions in this manual but when it comes to pictures it is sure a tome on how not to maintain your car. Filthy nasty dirty parts, even my wifes cars undercarage does not look nasty like these pics. For a professional publication they surely did not extend themselves at all in the pic department.
 
Yep, it seems like the first step to working on any old car is to wash and degrease. It sure makes things simpler.
 
But Jack,this is a British book. And maybe if everything was clean they may not recognise the car in England. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Apart from that,some of the pictures are not at all clear and some are confusing.It is much easier to work when the muck and grease have been cleaned up.And that applies to any repair job.
