Hagerty gets MY vote

What's the story?

Oh, I didn't know to click on Tim's comment to see the video; now I get it.

I was all set to use Hagerty until I told them that I wanted to drive it to work once in a while. They said no-way, no-how. All they would allow were events, and pleasure drives. I said I kind-of like my job, how about that? They said sorry, but work, running errands, going to town were not allowable uses under their policy. They told me to call back in a year and let them know what kind of driving I really did ( I was just putting it on the road), and maybe they could do something. I don't think so. They were nice and apologetic, but very firm about it.

Hi John, that policy is not unique to Hagerty. Most of the classic cad insurers are the same. But I would rather have the low cost of their coverage and drive an old "BJ9" to work when it gets hit my BJ8 is safe at home.--Keoke

That is one of the reasons I went with American Collector.
No " micro managing " where you can drive. They just want to
make certain you park it in a garage and you have another vehicle to use as a daily driver.

... Cost... how about $300.00 / year for 50,000 agreed to value ?

Well ED, That is not unique either the requirement for a designated BJ9 daily driver is pretty standard and implies you are not using your Healey as such.--Keoke
