We were out running errands today when our oldest called because his car wouldn't start. He was obviously frustrated. He had spent most of the day yesterday working out all the little electrical glitches that have been troubling him since his 5spd conversion earlier in the summer. He was spitting mad and told his dad that the fuel pump was out. (Either that or the fuel filter was clogged) cause it wasn't getting any gas. I told him to calm down, take the other car wherever he needed to go and we would look at it after the Holidays.

Got home about 45 minutes later. My husband tried to start it, turned the key etc....finally looked at the gas gauge.........yep, you guessed it! Out of gas.

We will get teasing rights to this well into the new year!

Happy Holidays Guys.

Merry Christmas, Terri - milk it for all its worth! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Maybe do the yardstick check before the teasing starts, just in case the gauge is out. Tables could easily be turned on ya'. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hahaha...reminds me of a time, years ago, after spending an entire weekend getting the BE tuned up and purring, I hauled my wife out to enjoy a beautiful Sunday evening ride along the beach. The car ran GREAT!! An hour into the ride, I turned a corner and the bucking and coughing began, cleared up and then the car died. Convinced I had forgotten to tighten something or other, I lifted the bonnet and proceeded to undo all the fine tune-up work I had done. While asking the wife to crank the engine for me, it was then that she looked at the gas guage.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif I STILL hear about that one!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Mike, been there done that. Thought I had bodged something, then I went around back and rocked the car -- no sloshing. At least I knew I hadn't broken it. Whoops. Wife likes to remind me of that one. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
