H1 or H2 carbs

Will either carb set-up work on a 1275 engine?

Yes either will work but H1s are too small.

Just curious, what happens if you use H-1's ?

You get not as much power or RPM. Think, you are passing less air and fuel into a larger cylinder.

Overly lean mixture could lead to piston meltdown, too. Why would you even want to run H1's on a 1275?? Some of mine run HS4's.
Jeff

I have some H-1's that are in great shape and some H-2's that are not. I was trying to use what I had without making additional purchases (silly me!)

That's one of the (very) few engine bay pix I've seen posted wot doesn't evoke envy, Donn! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
