I had never heard of Guy Motors till I visited the AACA Museum in Hershey PA on Monday. They have a display of hood ornaments/mascots that has some that were new to me. Guy Motors, a builder of mostly buses and lorries it seems, had a mascot that surprised me for a British company.

 
Guy Motors were based in my hometown, Wolverhampton in the Midlands. Guy buses were a very common sight in that area when I was growing up. Wolverhampton was home to some pretty famous names, notably Sunbeam, Kieft, AJS, Norton, Villiers and Henry Meadows, where the Frisky was built.
