Oh yeah!! Mine has been thru Hades: Used it in a repair shop for years. Love the thing.
If ya like that, you'll also find the ColourTune devices to be a great tool. Two is better than one, and with a triple carb set-up, three is ideal. They ain't cheap but lemme tell ya... they make short work of setting mixture on an LBC!

Works fine on the brake m/c on my TR6, which is what I think you mean by a tandem system. The top of the divider between front & back sections of the reservoir is at the base of the filler neck, and I keep it topped up to that level. I guess fluid replenishes both sections at once by overflowing the divider.
As far as caps are concerned, I adapted the m/c filler cap. I removed (temporarily) the snap-in piece inside, and drilled a hole the right size for the threaded end on the EB hose. A couple of fibre washers & the nut, and you're in business, although it does take care to achieve an airtight seal. When I've done bleeding, I remove the hose, put in a blanking plug with breather hole in the centre of the filler cap, and replace the snap-in piece. Back to normal.
