Another Gujon (flathead catfish, spotted cat, yellow cat, Opelousas cat) caught by my son Abe, the fish biologist/environmentalist somewhere in Arizona. The best eating catfish around. He prolly threw it back.

No Noodle, Net. Apparently, the Gujon is a prised game fish, even in Lake Havesau, on the border between Cal and AZ. Dang, the non Cajuns have discovered the delicious meat of the Yellow Cat. Cajuns have always enjoyed the meat, the bigger the better. Even the belly meat is tasty, doesn't require scraping like the Blue Cat and others. The game warden made him throw it back. Apparently, while in the net, the big fish was chomping at other smaller fish. What a predator!
