hello all!

im currently trying to get my mk2 sprite in running condition. its a semi-restoration. i call it this because i didnt paint it or do bodywork, or even add too much interior. but i have been doing some work under the hood and i have replaced the previuosly missing brakes and master cylinder.

i had it running and idling but my carbs most likely need to be replaced and my fuel pump just died on me.

does anyone have some good advice or some spare parts they'd like to give me?

will trade parts...lol

im a 17 year old highschool student who is living with my dad and brother in my dads business because we were displaced from our home due to the failing economy. im restoring with secondhand parts from my dads sprite and i have very little money to purchase any new parts. i dont want to be a basketcase, but anything you guys could help me with would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for your time.

Never replace carbs, rebuild.

an electric fuel pump can be had for cheep. Someone here will have a source and a model number. For example Airtex E80165 $50 bucks from ORiley. This is a low pressure pump which you must have.
