Any ideas (to scale) how long that runway is? Looks to be on a 34 / 16 heading. Must be several miles.....?

If I'm not mistaken that long runway was for testing the U2 and or the YF-12 and SR-71. I don't believe its in use anymore but it extends out into the dry lakebed. I suppose if you're going to test experimental aircraft, it's the ideal place.
