GT8

Hi, Bob -

Haven't seen that one. It does look good, but with the cockpit heat reputation of a regular GT6, I'd bet that one would be pretty toasty!

kinda front heavy I bet!

Nah - lighter than the six; it's aluminum!

163 mph top speed? Not me.

my old 73' GT6 was kinda light in the front end at speeds over 75 mph, I can just imagine how that car handles....

Yes, I well remember it. Almost bought it myself some years ago, and kick myself for not doing it.

Very nicely built car, superbly documented.

Neat looking car. Is there any more info about it? (specifically: how)

That's all I found. If i get a chance I'll look for more info.

The text says the engine is 110 pounds lighter than the 2000 six. I know the diff is heavier than a triumph unit. But that weight will be toward the rear. Should be an interesting car to drive. If you don't roast your shoes.

(specifically: WHY!)

If you have to ask why... :nonono:

Yup, I actually tried to purchase that GT8 from the former owner, a guy in WA named "Doc", can't remember his last name.
I called and discussed it on the phone with him. He wanted to sell it locally, he said, so I dropped it.

Seems he sold it to someone in "Denver", not exactly local. Oh well . . .

Allegedly a well-done conversion. Lots of fun to drive, no doubt.
