GT6 gt6 spin on oil conversion question

Hi all, I just installed the flotec oil conversion kit on my GT6. The filter is positioned at 7:00. I can't even get my oil filter wrench in to tighten or loosen the filter. Any tricks or special wrench needed?

I use a rubber strap wrench on mine. Granted, the filter can only be moved a small distance before the wrench must be re-positioned.

Mike, mine's actually a Mocal. I purchased it from British Victoria. Because of the GT6's frame rail, the adapter is installed hanging the filter at the 7:00 position. With the steering column on that side it's a tight fit.
