does anyone know of or have an original gt6 skidplate? i'd love to get my hands on one or make one from measurements. i'm suprised someone doesn't make a reproduction. seems like the people who buy front spoilers would be getting one also.

just thought i'd ask, any information is good.
 
Wow, not many folks know about the GT6 skidplate; I've never seen one on a car.

Did you see it in the BL GT6 parts catalogue? It looks pretty simple, although I've never been able to figure out what that hole in it was for.
 
i figured the hole was for the oil filter, as in when you changed your oil and didn't want it to pour all over your skid plate. i've read about it in ads and price brochures, and in the parts book, but never actually known of one. wish someone would come forward with one so new ones could be made, or at least measurements taken. seems like a part all gt6's could use, i always see scratches and bent parts from that under chassis area. in fact, i need a new radiator cause the dpo really smashed up the bottom, then patched it up with weld or lead.
