There is a lot of misinformation online about which cartridge oil filters fit the original filter housing of the early GT6. Most sources suggest the much-too-tall TR6 filter can be used. However, that won't fit inside the housing.

Does anyone know which filter actually is correct for the Mk1 GT6 (GFE138 ?? ) ? I need to order some and would like to record the correct part numbers for the future.

Both Canley Classics and TRF show GFE138, specific to GT6 1-3. That would be good enough for me until I learned otherwise (by having one not fit my engine).
 
Somewhere I found dimensions that suggested that filter GFE138 is the correct one. I am just looking for confirmation.
