I got my interior seats & carpets out to get to the rusty floors. Foot wells are goners and some small holes by the rear wheels. Time to start the cleaning, cutting and sanding.

"cleaning, cutting and sanding"

Think of it as carefully planned improvements.

Started wire brushing the rust spots on the floors and my angle grinder crapped out!

It saw all the work in front of it and died!

That could be it. The grinder was a $5 Garage Sale find, I guess I now know why it was so cheap.

There are two schools of thought on angle grinders... buy cheap ones and know you are going to wear out a few over the course of a project (or two)... or buy an expensive name brand one that will last for years. I don't know which philosophy makes more sense as you may be comparing $20 and $100 tools. Regardless, they are an indispensable tool for what lies ahead in your project. Though I sound indecisive about the angle grinder, I will say definitively to buy knotted (twisted) wires brushes, not the cheap ones that simply have crimped bristles. You will forever be picking bristles out of things (like your arms) if you use a cheap wire brush.
