Saw a GT6 dropped off in front of the local wrecing yard.
I got to look at it today.Pretty rusty, but there still are some bits & pieces there.
There are one of the clear (glass) back-up lights,&
& one of the round Red plastic lenses (light assys),still
intact. Are these worth anything?I could pick them up (at -
- cost) if someone's interested.
There's also an Amco type overrider on the rear.Rusted,
but looks like it could be rechromed.

Light assemblies (even without lenses) are worth a bit if still in good shape, as are lenses. Oh, and the big rubber plinths (I do love that word!) on which those lights sit.

Those overriders are wonderfully useful; back in its day, one saved my GT6+'s rear end on at least two occasions that I personally observed!

If any of the dash rocker switches are intact, they'll be worth grabbing as well; some are VERY difficult to find, especially dome light and rear defrost switches.

Is anyone interested in these. If so,I can put up the
money, take them off of the car,& save another bunch of
parts from the crusher.I don't think that there will be
any local interest in these parts.

engine? transmission?

i really shouldn't be talking about more parts though...i've already got a parts car and my SO would kill me if she knew i was talking about more.

The engines (block, head, carbs & manifold) on the GT6+ are pretty much the reference for easy mods for zippy GT6 engines: they don't have the recessed block design w/matching head of some later engines, nor do they have the external pushrod/different head combo of the earlier cars. They can be milled in a straightforward manner. Even in the original form, they had more compression than later US engines.

Too far away to justify shipping for me.

The cars got some seious rust. The engine is only -
- (maybe) good as a core (or rebuilder).
