When I got my Gt6 the dash was on the floor. So some of the parts had been removed. What I want to know is does a 1969 Gt6 have a manual choke or is it electric? one other thhing that was weird is that the positive cable on the batery was hooked to the engine block and the neg was hooked to the selinoid? These arn't positive ground are they? My wiring scematic shows it earth ground.

The "choke" is manual, and it should be a twin-cable (but just one knob) setup. And yes, the car should be negative ground. Hopefully it hasn't been run much, if at all, with the setup you describe; if it has, you're likely to find the alternator is fried. :frown:

Im hoping that some one was in a hurry taking parts off and just threw the cables back on. The guy I bought it from is familer with british cars and owns a few. So I would hope he would know better! But you never know. Some people just know how to fuel them up!
