T-Series GT Hatch Seals

I am replacing the hatch seals on my 74 GT and did a search for all information and I want to know if I understand this fully. Here goes, on older cars a two seal system was used but on later (rubber bumper cars) only one seal is used and that is on the body lip is this correct? If this is correct is Macgregor the only supplier of this part? Now having asked those questions is it also true that the single seal works better than the two seal system?

I need to go outside & look at my RB GT tomorrow to see exactly how the hatch is sealed.

Tony, the info I got came from MGBE and I from that info it looks like Macgregor is the only one who sells a body seal for the GT I just want to know if it replaces the two seals everyone else sells. I emailed them but as of yet have not received an answer.

You'll need to call him....he's a one-man operation & a phone call gets quick results.

My '74-1/2 still has the original so I can't answer whether or not his is 1 or 2 pieces.
