Wild turkeys?

Yes sir. Counted 18 in the field. Did not see a gobbler tho. He was most likely at the tree line

We have lots of them here in nw New Jersey.
Harmless, of course, but they can be intimidating if you walk near 50 or so of them in a field.

Ben Franklin famously said that he preferred the Wild Turkey over the Bald Eagle as our national symbol.


Sometimes, at a distance, I get these confused with Turkey Vultures (the vultures are uglier and much better fliers).
