Groundhog Day

Ummm... and you failed to mention this, why?

Been busy working and will be then too. I will be working 12-15 hour days and won't have time for a proper metting. I'll be about 2.5 hours away from you. I won't have time to pass by.

I know you've been workin' on the double secret probation gov'menty stuff.

I feel your pain. We got at least a tenth of an inch of rain today and might get more tonight. Gotta wait until tomorrow to see sun and warmth.

All I can say is that after spending much of last week without power here in DC as a result of eight inches of wet snow and ice, Punxsutawney Phil had better not see his shadow if he knows what's good for him. Groundhog is good eatin'.

What a coincidence! We had a similar scandal in our family involving my late grandmother...

Just like Schrodinger's Cat....we will never know if the varmit saw his/her shadow - it's snowed in!

My son, who lives 65 miles North East of Tulsa, Ok, had 15" of snow yesterday afternoon, but the wind was 40 to 50 MPH gusts. He figured they'd get around 20 inches before it's over. This is an area that normally gets no more than 4" all winter. They didn't get the frozen rain, which killed not only their power last winter for 3 weeks, but also stopped their water supply for a week, by pulling down trees and wires. The snow is acceptable. PJ

I haven't seen my groundhog (AKA-<span style="font-style: italic">"woodchuck"</span>) since this shot in the Fall.

I think it's all a myth used to boost the economy of Punxsutawney (a nice, but unremarkable town that I've visited).
