Billy Bob was rebuilding the transmission on his 240Z, and realized some of the gears were trash. He contacted all the parts sources he could think of, but no-one could supply the new cogs. Finally, he contacted the OE manufacturer in Japan, who could supply the parts, but only if Billy Bob ordered 10,000 gears. Billy Bob loved his 240Z dearly, so he placed the order.
Finally, the part were air shipped from Japan. However, the old B727 that FedEx was using blew 2 engines, so the co-pilot was ordered to jettison some of the heavier items of cargo so the plane could keep flying. As they passed over Kansas, the co-pilot was tossing out armloads of Billy Bob's 240Z gears.
Down on the ground, 2 old farmers were standing in the field, watching these parts fall from the sky. One turned to the other and said, "Lookit that. It's raining Datsun cogs!"
