Hi all,

My dad has been collecting Triumphs for most of my adult life now (20+ years), but he's in Pennsylvania, and I'm in Oklahoma, so I haven't had much exposure to them other than via conversations and visits. Anyway, with him being 80 now, and having had a stroke some years ago, he's winding down his hobbies, and decided to give me his fully restored '59 TR3A. He and mom had one just like it in 1959, so it was his dream to one day have another. We just spent last week out there and then towed it back to Oklahoma this past weekend, so I'm just now starting on this new journey! Unfortunately it's a tad hot these days to enjoy it.

Here's a photo:

Welcome to BCF! What a great story of your TR3, and the family connection.

I hear you about the summer heat. I used to live in Fort Worth, and remember how we needed air conditioning by the end of February. Summer? A blast furnace!

Take a look at the BCF Triumph forum - you'll find lots of info on "heat proofing" your TR if you want to go that route.
