Glad to be here, but wish I had a qualifying car! Recently I looked at a TR-8 at a used car lot and was interested in that, remembering back to high school when I had a fondness for the TR-7 that turned into more than that when the V-8 version came out. I never was able to obtain one (but I did make a plastic scale model TR-8 combining a kit for a TR-7 and a Buick when I was 12 or 13).

Anyway, after doing a bit of research on TR-8’s and triumph in general to see if the one on the lot was worth what they were asking, I decided what I really wanted was a TR-6! I don’t know much about them except what I found on the net in the last few days and I figured this would be a good place to lurk and gain info and even ask a question or two. For started I don’t know what they are worth? I am starting to get the gist as far as rust and common problems are concerned, thanks in part to this site.

Cheers

Or is it a tiger I want?!

Doesn't really matter. Once bitten by the bug there's no hope for ya!

Welcome to the BCF!

Howdy tw,

As Mickey says; Once you`ve been bitten by the "LBC" (Little British Car) bug; Your Done; Your Hooked & There is no return trip!!

In my opinion; The "TR6" is by far a better investment, more fun than a "TR7" could ever be (Nothing Personal you TR7 folks out there). "TR8s" on the other hand will bring a nice pcs. of change; Should the day come that you`d want to sell.

What I would do since your new to the club is "Try ea. one on for Size" & See which one suits you best.

Whatever your decision may be; Enjoy the Ride in it & ask whatever questions may pop in your mind. Don`t forget to Introduce yourself to the "Triump" Forum Folks.

By the way; "WHO MAKES TRIUMPHS"!!!!!!

Welcome to the good ship FRED.

There is a lot of good advice and friendship to be found here.
You don't have to have a LBC to post, right Sherlock.

Time and therapy would reveal that you want one of EACH!
Now that I've saved you from putting 10's of thousands of dollars in a therapist's wallet, use it to buy that car! :driving:

And when you get your first one - PICTURES! Lots and LOTS of pictures!!
