Greetings BCF,

Newbie here from Central California. Although I no longer own a British auto, I was brought up around them, and my first car was a '61 MGA that I bought off a lot in 1971 here in Santa Barbara for $300.

My reason for signing up here on the BCF is that I attended the Queen's English, All British Car Show in Van Nuys, California for the first time yesterday and wanted to share some of the images with all of you. Here's a little tease,

"Welcome" to the BCF from NE PA.

Russ

Hi Don,

Welcome and great job with the camera...

You may spend a bit more for your next MGA. Enjoy.

The people here cannot be beat.

From Visalia,

Steve McCracken

I can't believe Steve's right side lamp cover is askew like that!! :jester:

Welcome to our humble little group, Don! :savewave:

You're RIGHT, that cover IS askew!! Oh the horror, oh the humanity!!!

Ok you nitpickers. The cover is crooked because I drive the car! Truth be told, the entire lamp was crooked. Don must have taken those photos early because I straightened it out shortly after arriving.

Man, I'd hate for any of you to see my cars up close. You're brutal!

So Steve, when I'm out to Newport Beach in August can I book a tour of your cars? I'd love to see them up close.

Absolutely. The garage is always open! Figuratively, of course.

You should try to time your visit so that you can drive up the Pacific Coast and see the Monterey Historics if you haven't already been. Every classic car nut should attend at least once in their lifetime.
