I'm new to this forum, but definitely not British cars. My first car was a 52 Morris Minor bought in 1960. Since then, I've owned a Sunbeam Alpine, MGB-GT, and MG Midget. Currently restoring a 65 Sprite. It has a Datsun B-210 5-speed, so won't be going back original, just more reliable!

Welcome to the best car forum on the web. What part of the state are you in.

Don

Welcome, indeed, from a transplanted Cajun (Shreveport and N.O.)!

Hi There Vintageview,

GEAUX, Tigers!

Was at LSU from '68-'70, and lived at the Howard Johnson's on Airline Hwy, where Dad was the manager.

Graduated from LSU in 75 after graduating from Baton Rouge High in 59 (long story you don't want to hear!). Glad to "converse" with another Tiger!
I'm an SCCA licensed Corner Worker, and "work" most of the races at No Problem Raceway. Finally have a dedicated road racing track in Louisiana again. Most people can't remember the last one.

Well, my degree is from UNO - 1985 - another long story. Was at LSU from '68-'70, then LSUNO from '70-'73 and... well, that's where it gets long!

I'm sure you know all about the Bellemont and the old Howard Johnson's. Had some buddies from Catholic High - would've graduated in '67 or so. Worked while at LSU at the HoJo Restaurant, then at Montgomery Ward's at Bon Marche'. Lots of good times back then...

I graduated from BRHS in 59, LSU in 75 (another long story). Definitely remember the Bellmont, which is still standing (barely) as well as several Ho-Jo's and Mont. Wards. Still learning this board. Send me a private e-mail, and I'll contact you. Would like to see your cars, especially the MGB.

PM's on the way...

CHS grad 1963, LSU in 69. Moved away in 71. The Bengal, the Tiger, Cotton Club, Southdowns, Pastime. Well you get the idea.
Made a few of the Jim Bowie races. Had a red bugeye and a white XK-120 back then.
