Hi to all
I am a newby found the site by looking and looking.
and i have a landrover series 2a with a Triumph 6 cylinder motor but cannot work out the date and CC,
engine number is CR2509 HE, with twin Strongberg carbies!
Any help out there.

It's just hitting 90F degrees on the back verandah.
and i have a car trailer to rewire for lights going to wait till it cools down.

According to my magic decoder ring, the CR prefix would mean it was originally fuel injected, and installed in either a TR6 or a 2.5PI. Sounds like someone picked up the carby setup from another car (possibly a 2.5 or TR6 with carbs).

i was thinking much the same from info on the net but was not sure. As the original owner was a landrover mechanic at a local British dealership about a 100 k's away have not had a chance to see him that's if he is still with us.
By the way it goes like a scalded cat.
Needs TLC on the body but mechanically its fine.

By the way, many of us we are NOT sitting out in 90 degree (F) weather here in North America!
