Hello fellow British Car owners and enthusiasts.
I am new at this forum, but after checking it out, I like what I see.

I am the owner of a 1956 BN2 Austin Healey "nasty boy" and as it is,
not ready for the road yet. Almost, but not quite. I have many questions
and I'm learning as I go. I am doing all the work needed myself and plan
on being as helpful to others as we tackle the myriad tasks and problems
that entails restoring these classic beauties.

I have it in my garage for a year and a half. I already discovered that finding
a mechanic to work on them is very hard. Being proficient with tools and
mechanically inclined, I decided to do as much "heavy lifting" as I can.
Hence tapping the knowledge of others in similar situation.

Welcome to the BCF! That;'s a lovely Healey you have there. You will find that our Healey forum is one of the more active forums here.
By the way, just as an FYI, when you post images in a post, if you use the "Insert Image" icon in the editor, rather than "attach file" button, it will add the image in-line in your past as a larger image. Using Attach File will place a thumbnail in your post that people must click on to see a full-sized image. I usually use the "Attach files" for attaching things like spreadsheets, pdf, text files, etc., and use the "Insert Image" to post a picture. Either one works, but there is a difference.

Suggest that you get hold of the Mid-Ohio Austin-Healey Club. Leo Ruof can probably help with mechanical issues.

Excellent tip. Dully noted.
I will edit that.

Thank you Bob. I believe I have met Leo once. I am also in contact
with the people of Mid-Ohio Austin Healey Club, however, they only
meet once a month and don't seem to be too interested in getting
technical with me. :D
I also know Mike Foster which has helped me immensely over the phone
when I did the disc brake conversion.

Nasty Boy, eh? What motor do you have? You might want to check in with the folks at British V8 - several folks there with Nasties:

Thank you Mickey. It's nice to see where the AH V8 folks gather.
Other than knowing it's a small block Chevy engine (which runs great),
I am not sure what type or displacement it has (perhaps a 350).
Unfortunately it came with a 3 speed automatic transmission.

We hope this doesn't mean we've lost ya here too! :driving:

Not at all. The more the merrier. I have many interests and
hence many websites to keep track of. I find the quality (caliber)
of the people and discussions here right up to my [tech] alley.

Welcome to BCF!

(A 1950s British sports car with a 3 speed automatic ...? eek! At least it's not a *2* speed automatic!)
