The addiction began when at 14 I bought my first Spitfire. I paid $230 for a 1966 Spitfire I pulled out of a hedge in a neighbor's yard. It was the first of many I have rebuilt over the years.
In my garage right now is a 1978 Spitfire 1500 which should be back on the road in about a week. As you can imagine after 46 years of Spitfire ownership(there has always been at least one in the garage) I have bins and shelves full of various parts. Enabling all this, because of all the joy it brings, is one very patient wife!
I am looking forward to being a part of this online community.

Welcome to the BCF Dave! (and thanks for supporting us). I lived in Aurora through my Junior high and High school years and did a lot of work at Colorado Springs when I was in the AF and later as a contractor. I have a 78 Spite myself that is a "someday I may get to it" project.
 
Thanks! Sounds like you know the area well. I am in Larkspur...so about halfway between Aurora and the Springs.
Those "someday I may get to it" projects are the ones that keep us going because we'll tomorrow may be that some day:smile:

My Sister in Law still lives in Centennial, so we drive past Larkspur regularly.
