Great source for TR dash boards

Just to pass the word, there is a nice chap in Wyoming making super high quality TR dashes for about $100 less than everyone else. They are on ebay:

Most dashes I see out there are made from more agressive grain, like walnut, which I find is out of character for the car. Carl's dashes are dead-on indentical, in grain and finish. The workmanship is first rate and Carl is a delight to deal with. The dash picture in the auction is the one you will receive so you can pick and choose to your liking.

If you are looking for a "correct" dash for your TR, Spit, or GT-6 look no further.

That's the city of Wyoming, in the state of Michigan for those interested.

Thought there might be a new vendor super close to me for a moment there...

Believe it or not, there is a Wyoming in Rhode Island.

English Walnut was originally fitted to the TR4As. Was the TR6 the same? Or were there optional woods available for order? ISTR a white TR6 with a blonde dash way back when.

The ebay guy dash looks like real nice work.

Wyoming, Michigan...I never really noticed. But I bought one of Carl's dashes and I can tell you it's a close to original as you are likely to find. It's subtle like the original, yet professionally done.

Ditto here on "Carl's" dashes. I contacted him directly to get exactly what I was looking for on wood type, grain and color and I couldn't be happier for under $200. I was tired of looking at the orangey dark colored original dash and went for a light American Walnut veneer. The pictures don't even do it justice. It's amazing how it transformed the inside of the car.

Too bad it wasn't easier to change out these dashes.
I would enjoy changing over to a differt look or finish
from time to time just for kicks.

After you put the dash in and then take it out a few times I would think it would get pretty easy.

Do it enough and I'm sure you caould have all the wiring memorized. You could amaze your friends and colleagues with your rapid dash changing technique.

It's not that hard of a job once you get started. This one took 4+1/2 hours and I took some time to clean the metal back dash and clean up the wires from when I bypassed the rheostat. It's just getting motivated to get started is always the hard part.
