I participated at the meeting as well.

We spent two weeks touring North Wales /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif and on the way back home participated at the meeting. It was the first time in 50 years that the car was back in the U.K. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

I really enjoyed myself and I guess my family as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

They even put a picture of me on their site /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Yes it was a really great weekend. Lots of interesting cars and people - and good weather - in England!. Although not mentioned in the article I acquired a Healey Team jacket at an auction. It belonged to famous Sprite racer Mike Garton who wore it at Sebring in 1968 when he won his class. (he also had the fastest lap of the BMC Team - faster than Paddy Hopkirk in an MGC!!)

Mike also owned the 1961 Le Mans Works Sprite which he acquired from Geoff Healey in 1963 in part exchange for his own car! (This car is in Bill Emersons book)
