Great picture over at SpriteSpot

Here I am like a nincomepoop worrying about what I am going to do about the rust on my car's body and what color to paint it. I need to be more like that guy!

I did that as well for a couple of months.

When I was in college, my room-mate bashed a front fender on his '65 Sprite.
So he pulled off both front fenders and put "tractor lights" in the grill area and drove it like that.

He called it a "poor man's Lotus Seven"!

Reminds me of this picture.

Is that what an anorexic car looks like?!

'Tis EASY to run around in a BE like that

!!! Right Jack?

Hey I did that exact same thing yesterday with Bugsy. I installed a remote timing pointer kit that I got from Jeff at Advanced Distributors.Timing pointer kit worked pretty slick. Other than the mess caused by pulling the radiator to get to the Cam Cover Bolt where the remore pointer attaches it worked slick. Changing the antifreeze was needed anyway as the stuff in there was 4-5 years old. till green but overdue. Between that and changing oil and filter yesterday made a mess of self and garage.

Since I needed to back the car out of the garage to clean up the floor, Bugsy did go for a ride around the block sans windshield, fenders, valence, hood, just bare naked. Just like that picture that was posted the other day. 40 mph down the street with no windshield and seat set in place but not bolted down felt real, real fast. Yes it was fun. Bugsy is now turned around in the garage so bodywork / painting can commence on passenger side. That jaunt around the block may need to hold me for a few weeks.

Good deal Jim, everyone should get a day like that from time to time.
