T-Series Great Lakes MG TF kit

I can't remember which thread it was, but Kenny, Tony and I where chatting back and forth about the Great Lakes MG TF kit. Turns out a friend of my Dad's purchased all the assets of the Great Lakes "factory" and he is planning on selling the kits again in the near future.

For those of you unfamiliar with the kit, originally it was a very accurate frame and body kit that uses drive train and running gear from a B. Ken, the new owner of Great Lakes, is planning a few upgrades to the future release of the kit. One such upgrade is an option to use the GM Ecotech (I think that's what it is called) motor.

Anyway, PM me if you would like to hear more about this kit and I will put you in contact with Ken. Serious inquiries only please. If you are just curious, I promise I will post more details as I learn them.

Cool. I'm more the just curious type.

reat Lakes was a great company...were I to do one, it would be theirs

There was a company Called the Victor TF and later Great Lakes out of Penn Yan NY. The last article I hav on them was it was owned by Ray Noble, Noble Motor Cars in Penn Yan 315-536-8115. That was a 1992 article, so probably defunct. If you want the article email me and I will forward. Keith Murphy 1954 MGTF

Morris - I'd be interested in his prices - especially if he's going to do any dealers..

Does the Great Lakes kit come with a steel body or fiberglass? PJ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It was fiberglass

Hi All,

I would like to revive this thread. My previous post on Victor/Great Lakes MGTF has succesfully brought a few of us owners together. We are talking about a registry and I would like to invite any owners to please contact me. Let me know what you would or wouldnt like in a registry.

Morris, I would be very interested in any information or contacts you have regarding this car.

Thank You All Very Much, Scott Barnes

Hello -

I have one of the Victor TF's & had spoken to an individual in Texas who bought the jigs & molds for the Victors & even sent me some pics - is the the Ken you speak of? Would like to know more about the cars from a production standpoint. Thanks!

Darin

This is being built in New Zealand I believe. Has a Miata engine, no idea what else. PJ
