Great gear/tool pack

I bought a few of these and loved them so much I ordered more. The packs meaure 12"X11"X5" and are cold war East German mil-spec tough. They were supposed to be issues to East German Border guards. It has straps like a regular back pack but with Y straps in the front that connect to your belt to make it load bearing. There is also another load bearing belt in the back. The load straps also keep the pack from moving around if hiking, running or biking. This pack is perfect for gear or tools especially if you have to hump them any distance. There are three other straps on the outside of the pack for affixing other gear. They are located on each side and on the top. These straps would be good for a coat, mat, small tent, picnic blanket or maybe a wine bottle if you do it right.

The thing I like most about them is they are waterproof! The pack has a rubber liner that extended about 6-8" above the pack when pulled all the way up. Once you place your gear inside, simply roll up the top of the liner to keep things nice and dry then latch the side and top panels down. Not only will it keep water out, it'll keep in it too! The pack can be used for carring water short distances if camping or roadside emergencies. Fisherman and hunters can keep their bounty in 'em too and not have to worry about critter juice gettin' on 'em. It's the perfect size for a day outting, the grandkids or keeping extra clothes or tools in the trunk. Can't beat the price of ~$6 each either! Sportsmans GUide has them for ~$15 delieved for 3 but I don't know if they have 'em brand new or come with the rubber liner. They also have a little clear vinyl lable window so you can mark their contents. I love these things, they're BRAND NEW !!!!
