Great Drive!

This past week, my wife and I took the E Type to Columbus, Ohio, for its biannual intensive service and wintering. We drove from our home in Virginia across the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains, up the West Virginia Turnpike which parallels the New River into Charleston, and north along the Kanawha River along back roads (US35) and finally into Columbus.

One forgets what a delight it is to drive one of these machines for eight hours on fitting roads! It was great!

That is very cool, Gene. That part of the country is beautiful this time of year. (or any time of year). I remember a few years ago taking the Spitfire with my son on a Air Force TDY to Ft Monroe, VA. We went from Scott Air Force Base (near St Louis) across US 50, through Ohio, then West Virginia, cut south into Virginia, and on across to Ft Monroe. Coming back we went across "Skyline Drive." It was fun in the Spitfire, I can only imagine what it was like in a V12 E-Type!
